Meridith J. Farrow, MD was born and raised in Covington. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology at Emory University. She studied medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville, Florida. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG).
Dr. Farrow’s areas of interests are diagnosing female cancers, treating menopausal patients, and helping our female patients overcome sexual problems and gain sexual awareness.
Dr. Farrow is the Chief of Obstetrics at Piedmont Newton Hospital, where she is also a member of the Medical Executive Committee. She is an Adjunct Faculty member of Obstetrics and Gynecology for Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership helping train future physicians. She also mentors and instructs advanced practice nursing students, nurse practitioner and midwifery students.
After 13 years of practicing medicine in Florida and serving as an Assistant Professor for the University of Florida Shands Jacksonville, she returned to Covington in 2017 when she joined Covington Women’s Health Specialists. She lives in Covington with her husband and daughter. Dr. Farrow takes great pleasure working at the hospital where her family has a tradition of service and volunteering.
She enjoys participating in local charitable events and supporting our community Arts Association. An avid pet lover, she has two dogs, two hairless cats, and two geckos. She periodically travels to Haiti to provide medical care to those in need.
