Tamsin Lewis, DNP, APRN, CNM, FACNM
I am a Certified Nurse-Midwife with more than 34 years of full-scope clinical experience and have attended over 4,000 births. I practiced for more than two decades in California, providing comprehensive midwifery care in both integrated health systems and private practice before relocating to Georgia. Currently, my scope includes midwifery care at Covington Women’s Health Specialists and serving as an Assistant Professor of Nursing in both the undergraduate nursing program and the graduate Nurse-Midwifery Program at Georgia College & State University.
Throughout this dynamic career, I have remained committed to advancing women’s health through clinical excellence, education, quality improvement, and community service.
One of my greatest passions has been mentoring the next generation of women’s health providers. For more than 32 years, I have had the privilege of precepting and mentoring Certified Nurse-Midwives, nurse practitioner students, OB/GYN residents, and medical students — supporting their clinical growth and professional development. Receiving a Fellowship in the American College of Nurse-Midwives is a tremendous honor and reflects my enduring commitment to advancing the profession through compassionate care, lifelong learning, leadership, and mentorship.
Celebrating More Than 30 Years in Midwifery
In addition, Brenda and Tamsin were also recognized at a special breakfast honoring midwives with more than 30 years of experience. This recognition celebrates their longstanding dedication to the profession and the patients and families they serve.
We are deeply grateful to Brenda and Tamsin for their dedication to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and for representing Covington Women’s Health Specialists at this national gathering of midwifery professionals.
Please join us in congratulating Tamsin on her FACNM designation and celebrating both midwives on their many years of service to women and families.
